LAKE TITIKAKA Known as the “Sacred Lake of the Incas”, Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world (3,810 m) and is shared between Peru and Bolivia. 14 km from Copacabana is the Isla del Sol, which is home to pre-Columbian monuments such as: the Pilcokaina Palace, the Palace or Labyrinth of Chinkana, the Inca staircase, the Sacred Fountain of Eternal Youth and the Inca terraces.

Day 1: La Paz – Copacabana – Sun Island

We leave at 07:00 am from La Paz in the morning along the way you will observe imposing view of the Royal Andean Range as well as the Titicaca Lake. After three and a half hours, we arrive to this emblematic and spiritual center, once we arrive to this pleasant little town of Copacabana.  After lunch on board of a motor boat, we will start sailing on the highest navigable lake in order to visit the south section of the sacred Sun Island. There are two main attractions: The Yumani area where we will find out the fountain of water, which is supposed to grant eternal youth, then we will go to the hostel after accommodations we will go to wait the sunset overnight in the hotel

Day 2: Sun Island - Copacabana – La Paz

This day we will walk 45 minutes then we will visit Pilkokaina area, a mysterious Inca Ruin. After visiting this highlights we will cross to Yampupata by the same motor boat then we will take a car in direction to Sampaya a small village where we will see very old houses and a nice point for to take a nice pictures about mountains and Moon Island after visiting this village we get back to Copacabana including a visit to the Virgin of Copacabana and her church, the most important Christian sanctuary in Bolivia. Afterwards we will visit the colorful market and the souvenir street. After lunch we start our way back to La Paz.
