DAY 1: La Paz – San Francisco Mine – Takesi

Departure from the city of La Paz towards the Illimani mountain. As we approach the mountain, its size is increasingly impressive, we will pass through the Valley of the Animas and the Palca Canyon with a beautiful landscape. The hike begins at the San Francisco mine, and we head to a pass at 4,600 m. From here we will see a spectacular view of Mururata Mountain. In the afternoon we will arrive at the village of Takesi. Camping at 3,700 m.

Walking time: 5 to 6 hours.

DAY 2: Takesi – Mina Chojlla – La Paz

After a good breakfast we will begin the descent from the Takesi village to Pongo. We will observe the impressive Quimsa Chata river. Outdoor lunch at Kacapi (2870 m) from here we will see the contrast of the Yungas and the Mururata snow in the mountains, Takesi River and the humid cloud forest we will continue the walk towards Yanacachi (2050 m), this city It is one of the oldest in Bolivia and was very important at the time of the Spanish conquest where fruits, vegetables and coca leaves were produced.

At the end of the Trek our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to the city of La Paz.

Walking time: 6 to 7 hours.
